(Sturnidae; Ϯ Southern White-necked Myna S. albicollis) Gr. στρεπτος streptos  collar, neck-chain  < στρεφω strephō  to twist; κιττα kitta  magpie; the birds of this genus are sometimes known as magpie mynas because of their long tails and pied plumage; "*823. Streptocitta, Bp.
