(Trochilidae; Ϯ Rufous-breasted Hermit G. hirsuta) Gr. γλαυκος glaukos  glaucous, pale green; "Diese Arten zeichnen sich wiederum durch ihre Größe und die ausgezeichnete Rigidität der Schwanzfedern und die Mischung von blau und grün in ihrem Gefieder aus.  ...  Glaucis.  Kennzeichen: a. untere Seite des Körpers grau oder bräunlich.  b. Schnabel gebogen.  c. obere Seite desselben breit und stark abgerundet.  d. Schwanz abgerundet.  e. Spitze der Rudefedern rehfarben.   Arten. 1. Troch. brasiliensis Lath.   2. — ruficollis Azz.
