L. locusta  grasshopper; from the whirring, high-pitched, insect-like song of the Common Grasshopper Warbler; "3. Sylvia locustella.   ...   3. Heuschreckensänger. Locustella.   E[ntwickelung]. Wie gewöhnlich.   Ch[arakter]. Rohrsänger mit geflecktem Kopf, Rücken und unteren Schwanzdeckfedern.   L[ebensart]. Sie gleichen den Rohrsängern, leben aber sehr versteckt." • "Dicrurus leucophaeus Vieill.  ...  To define the different forms is a matter of no little difficulty, for the keys hitherto given are far from satisfactory and the characters referred to thereon are not constant.  Moreover the greater the amount of material available for examination the less do the hitherto alleged differences hold good.  ...  (4) Dicrurus leucophaeus disturbans, subsp. nov.  ...  Where disturbans meets true leucophaeus in the south it is impossible to say" (Baker 1918) (syn.
