(Parulidae; Ϯ Ovenbird S. aurocapilla) Gr. σειουρος seiouros another name for the σεισουρα seisoura or “wag-tail”  < σειω seiō  to shake; ουρα oura  tail; "GOLDEN-CROWNED THRUSH.  ...  It is altogether an inhabitant of the woods, runs along the ground like a lark, and even along the horizontal branches, frequently moving its tail in the manner of the Wagtails" (A.
