(Alcedinidae; Ϯ African Pygmy Kingfisher I. picta) Dim. < genus Ispida Brisson 1760, kingfisher; "1) Ispidina.  4 Zehen.  Schnabel kurz, 1/3 länger als der Kopf, dachförmig, etwas flachgedrückt, ohne Rinne längs der Schnabelfirste. Scheitelfedern kurz, knapp anliegend.  ...  I. Subgenus Ispidina Kaup.  1) Alcedo picta, Bodd.  ...  a) Alcedo nitida, Kaup." (Kaup 1848); "Ispidina Kaup, Verh. naturhist. Ver. Grossherz.
