● Albertine Rift Valley. The ecologically important Albertine Rift runs from Lake Albert southwards to Lake Tanganyika, being named after Lake Albert, itself named after Albert Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and Prince Consort to Queen Victoria (Glaucidium).
