(Campephagidae; New Guinea Cicadabird E. melas) Genus Edolius Cuvier, 1816, drongo; Gr. σωμα sōma, σωματος sōmatos  body; "GENRE EDOLISOME. — EDOLISOMA, Nob.  Ce genre est établi d'après une espèce intermédiaire, par ses formes, entre les Ceblepyris et les Edolius.  Le bec est assez large à la base, et se comprime de plus en plus en se rapprochant de la pointe.  Mais les plumes du croupion sont épineuses comme dans les Graucalus, Ceblepyris et Lalage.  La type est l'EDOLISOME DE MARESCOT. — EDOLISOMA MARESCOTI ."
