(Meliphagidae; Ϯ Eastern Spinebill A. tenuirostris) Gr. ακανθα akantha  spine  < ακη akē  point; ῥυγχος rhunkhos  bill; "[plate 27] 1 Canthorhynchus [sic] superciliosus.  2 —— tenuirostris.  3 —— dubius." (Gould 1837, Synops. Bds. Austr.); "ACANTHORHYNCHUS.
