DEFINITIONS

Ixothraupis
(syn. Tangara Ϯ Spotted Tanager T. punctata) Gr. ιξος ixos  mistletoe; θταυπις thraupis  unknown small bird, perhaps some sort of finch. In ornithology thraupis signifies tanager.
