(Thraupidae; Ϯ Magpie Tanager C. leveriana) Gr. κισσα kissa  magpie; ωψ ōps, ωπος ōpos  countenance, appearance; alluding to the black and white plumage and very long tail of the Magpie Tanager; "PILLURION, Cissopis.  Lanius, Lath.  Bec court, robuste, bombé, un peu comprimé vers le bout; mandibule supérieure échancrée et courbée à la pointe. — Bouche ciliée. — Les troisième et quatriéme remiges les plus longues.   Esp.
