L. psitta  parrot  < Gr. ψιττακη psittakē  parrot; the brush-tipped tongue of the Musk Lorikeet is an adaptation to feeding on nectar and pollen; "76. GLOSSOPSITTA, Bp. — 308. Australis, Lath.
